Is it true that we have only three parts of Jeeva Karunya Ozhukkam whereas Vallalar has written seven volumes of the same. If yes where would the remaining parts be found.
While Swamigal has stressed a lot on feeding poor in the above said text, he has stressed a lot on satvicharam and devotion in perupadesam. at what point of time both were recorded? were they adviced by swamigal at differnt points of his own transformation.

Swamigal stressed on both sativicharam and parobakaram equally.

From the peruupadesam(a speach of Vallalar) itself you could figure out when this speach got delivered. you may understand this from the following line-by-line translation of the perupdadesam
(updadesa begins here)
All of you being in here, do not waste your time like you have been doing it all along here.
From this onwards, the GOD goes to the Salai of about ten days or so - till then, all of you, be in a good vicharam. what is this vicharam means: we and ourselves condition is how is that? and above us, mastering us the God’s condition is how is that? Like that we should be doing vicharam

So in tamil version it is referred as just Salai(Hall) but we would have to take it as Dharma-Salai. So this speach should have been delivered 10days before opening of Dharma-Salai / Hall of Dharma. So if you look Dharma-Salai opening invitation, you probably can calculate the period.
1. vicharam : para-world enquiry. it means, enquiring about the world that filled with light, the supreme Gods natures, about the planets and all above things.
1. one shuould try to understand the true nature of god, which transcendes any kind of literary description the world has seen so far. Which is admitted by the upanishads.
2.One should develop desire for god, which is nothing but bhakthi yoga.
3.To develop desire for god one should develop aversion to worldly things - nirasai
4.He also gives out the mahamanthra and says that it was openly declared by god himself as the illustration of his own true nature
5.Finally concludes by saying that DHAYAVU in its extreme form is GOD.-Similar to the saying ANBE SIVAM in thirumanthiram.
The question that still remains in me is that how jeevakarunyam (which is primarily pasi-aatrudhal) transforms into Dhayavu during the course of evolution of swamiji himself. No doubt that the transformation he has undergone is something that the world has not seen so far even in the forms of greatest of the saints.
But I believe Daya is a bigger element than jeevakaarunyam itself. If jeeva karunyam only is the sadhakam, we should have seen people like Mother Teresa also transfrom in the same manner. It may be a stepping stone but I dont know what else is required. Also to my knowledge the world is yet to see another person who attained the state that Arul-Prakasa-Vallalar. Would appreciate other views in reply.
('Mahopadesam' - Vallalar - November, 1873 - Siddhivalagam)
Those words are so clear that it is not necessary to say anything else.
Vallalar intend to write JEEVAKARUNYA OLUKKAM IN 7 PARTS, if we read his letters to RATINA MUDALIYAR, VELU MUDALIYAR etc, we can undestand THAT each and every action/move, vallalar get approval from ARUTPERUMJOTHIANDAVAR. So we can assume that it is ARUTPERUMJOTHI ANDAVAR WISH to write only 3 parts, remaining part can be searched by our inward sathana, may vallalar himself come and teach us. Later Vallalar might have thought this 3 parts itself morethan enough to follow, because those days people arround him not much interested to follow this strict diciplines.
IN Vallalar`s PERUPADESAM speech the meanings for words 10 days, SALAI are not open meaning.
Vallalar`s word DAEYOU in PERUPADESAM refers the infinite compassions towards all living specis in all worlds. Ultimate goal of practicing JEEVAKARUNYAM and SATHVISARAM is to acheive that DAEYOU.

Everyday when I drive to office, I keep listening to the nice audio lectures I donwloaded from this site. Lately I was listening to the writing called four purushartham. What struck me was that the Jeevakarunya Olukkam (tamil word for discipline) fits some where in the jiva ozhukkam category. Anma olukkam follows it and it is holistic in the sense that it covers all living beings. the first rung in this ladder is sense control (indriya olukkam). So, there is a gradual evolution in the sanmarga path commensurate with the effort that we put in. The end is deathlessness or permanent life. I don't think vallalar talks about surrender to god so much. Many other saints have talked about it a lot...The so called bhakthi. When we are infinitely compassionate, we kinda vibrate with god that there is no surrender devotion etc. Infact vallalar says that we should enjoy god. Any thoughts...
I am new to this forum and have just logged in.
I do not as much about sanmargam as much as many of u do, but i find this forum, the teaching ground for me. By simply reading the various topics being discussed here, i get to know a lot. And it keeps me feeling that there is a lot more for me to learn. I wanted to inform this group about the website called www.ramalinga.com . In this site, a lady called Sobhana shares her experience of the Jothi and again, that is a good site to learn.
I am confident that our lord vallalar will enlighten me more about the sanmargam and his principles, through relvant sources.
