Arutperunjothi Agaval was written by Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar @ Chidambaram Ramalingam Adigalar from India. This 1596 lines of poem is written in Tamil in later part of 19th century and is a part of Thiru Arutpa Sixth Canon . Agaval is considered as the Jewel of Thiru Arutpa songs written by Vallalar. Many scholars have given their explanation of Agaval. Mr.L.Ananda Bharathi is a young scholar from India who has studied the explanations of various authors and given a comprehensive view of his opinion and compared with other authors. Mrs.G.Dhanalakshmi, spouse of Mr.Ananda Bharthi has recited Agaval with her sweet voice at Vallalar Universal Mission - USA.

அருட்பெருஞ்ஜோதி அகவல், திருவருட்பிரகாச வள்ளலார் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் சிதம்பரம் இராமலிங்க அடிகளாரால் இயற்றப்பட்டது. 1596 வரிகளைக் கொண்ட இக்கவிதைத் தொகுப்பு, 19-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டின் பிற்பகுதியில் தமிழ் மொழியில் எழுதப்பட்டது. இது திருவருட்பா ஆறாம் திருமுறையின் ஒரு பகுதியாகும். வள்ளலார் இயற்றிய திருவருட்பா பாடல்களிலேயே 'அகவல்' அதன் மணிமகுடமாகக் கருதப்படுகிறது. அகவலுக்குப் பல அறிஞர்கள் விரிவான விளக்கவுரைகளை வழங்கியுள்ளனர்.
