Samarasa Suddha Sanmarkka Sankam was organised around 1865 in Karunkuzhi village. Two years later, in 1867 Salai was started. Vallalar stayed in Salai for three years and moved to Mettukuppam where he stayed for four years till 1874. Sabai was established in 1872.
What do we learn from this methodical, step by step program Vallalar implemented for our benefit?
The answer is that like minded persons should come forward voluntarily and form Sangam ( no building is necessay and no need to start collecting money for building)and practisecode of conduct(the different ozhukkam) and if they have reached a satisfactory level then they can move on to the beginning of feeding the poor by starting Salai (again no building is needed and no money collection).
The members who have undergone the experience of Sangam and Salai for quite a number of years can pray to Vallalar regarding opening of Sabai. They may not open a Sabai unless they understand the principles of Sabai and have men and money required to construct an exact replica of Gnana Sabai at Vadalur. They have to maintain it as directed by Vallalar.
My observation over 45 years reveals that people are not patient enough to go step by step;do not pracise sufficiently;believe in concrete buildings rather than the pracices required;spend disproportionate amount in conferences and publicity. I do not know whether this will yield the desired benefits.
Let us not Start Sabai first.
Let us form Sangam and practise
Let us read Arutpa and understand Vallalar
Let us do jeevakaarunya in all the ways possible
Let us pray to Vallalar and ask Him whether we are qualified to think of opening Sabai
