Many of us need to know the scientific secret/the nature truth of Thiruneer (Vibhuthi/Holy Ash). Why because, it is simply regarded as one of the religious icons and practices.
To some people, Thiruneer is a spiritual code of nothingness. They simply say that it represents the beginning and end of everything we see, which is nothing but insignificance, just like ash or dust. Wrong! Wrong!!
The nature truth of Thiruneer (Holy Ash) is that it works really like a thermoelectric device/photovoltaic cell/solar panel, drawing energy from the available light/electromagnetic radiations/waves around us.
We could understand this nature truth, if we know the secret of the Seebeck effect (the conversion of temperature differences directly into electricity and is named after the Baltic German physicist Thomas Johann Seebeck - discovered in 1821).
A thermoelectric device is a direct application of this effect, which creates voltage when there is a different temperature on each side. Conversely, when a voltage is applied to it, it creates a temperature difference. This is the divine wonder of nature.
At the atomic scale, an applied temperature gradient causes charge carriers in the material to diffuse from the hot side to the cold side.
Well. Let me explain in a simple way. Every color absorbs light/radiations or electromagnetic waves (EMW) differently. Since, we know a color of an object depends on what type of wavelength it reflects back to us.
For example, black body absorbs light/EMW of all wavelengths, and hence, it quickly becomes hot, whereas, white color surface reflects all wavelengths, and hence it absorbs light/radiations/EMW very feebly.
That is why; it is good to wear black clothes during winter, and white clothes during hot summer days. Also, we use mostly white paint for houses, when they are built in hot regions/deserts; and, at the same time, houses are painted black as they are built in places, where the atmospheric temperature could fall below zero degrees Celsius like in Alaska.
A solar cell is also called photovoltaic (PV) cell, which as the name implies (photo meaning "light" and voltaic meaning "electricity"), converts sunlight directly into electricity. A module is a group of cells connected electrically and packaged into a frame (a solar panel), which can then be grouped into larger solar arrays.
Our skin/body is a good conductor of electricity, since it is made of different conducting minerals/metals, and hence, a band of Thiruneer/Pattai or Namam creates different colored regions (black and white for black people or brown and white for others) on our forehead to develop temperature difference, and as a result of which, this band acts itself exactly as a thermoelectric device/PV cell.
In fact, Thiruneer is nothing but a divine medicinal powder. Thousands of years ago, ancient Tamil Sidhaas knew this nature truth very crystal clearly, and therefore, they taught us to have Thiruneer/a band of Holy Ash on our forehead to develop sufficient amount of Jeeva Sakthi/bio-electromagnetic(BEM) energy in our body to help protect and cure several head related infections/ailments and other physical or mental illnesses.
In other words, the stripes of Holy Ash/Pattai or Namam help our forehead work like a solar panel, absorbing light/EMW that fall on our forehead. Some people have Pattai or Namam all over their body. This is to have more solar panels on their bodies to produce more Jeevasakthi/BEM energy for them.
Also, our Sidhaas knew very well that permanent painting of stripes of Holy Ash or Namam might look very ugly, and which might be disquieting like tattoo on our fore head. That is why; they taught us to produce Thiruneer with the help of water-washable medicinal power. The beauty is that these stripes of Holy Ash exactly work like a great solar module to increase or maintain our Jeevasakthi or BEM energy in our body.
We know a plant cell has chloroplasts to absorb sunlight for its photosynthesis. But, animals don’t have them. Yes! Therefore, we all need to depend on plants for our energy needs.
We also know sunlight absorbed by a plant is first transported into us as leaves, fruits, seeds or as different foodstuffs, and then it becomes as ATP/GTP for our everyday energy requirements. So, it is clear that sunlight undergoes a very long way to become ATP/GTP for us via plants and foodstuffs.
Therefore, our Sidhaas found a wonderful technique to generate Jeevasakthi or BEM energy instantly in a compatible form for our wellbeing with a help of a band of Thiruneer. Since, a band of ash on our forehead transfers sunlight/EMW directly into our body/cells without consuming a plant’s food.
In short, they knew how to make a biological animal cell serve as a PV cell by using a band of Thiruneer on our forehead, and other parts of our body as required.
A true Sanmaargi knows that we are all Sivam only. Our energy/uyir/spirit is our JeevaSakthi. If we remove this JeevaSakthi from us, then we all become Savam (dead) only. Or, Savam/body + Sakthi (Uyir/Spirit) = Sivam. Or, Sivam – JeevaSakthi = Savam only.
Here, we need to know that our Soul Energy and the Solar Energy get transferred by a band of Thiruneer are very closely interrelated both spiritually and scientifically. This is one of the greatest discoveries of our ancient Sidhaars.
And therefore, I would like to suggest everyone here to have a band of Thiruneer/Holy Ash every day after bath, particularly for people, who suffer from any head related problems like headache, facial pain, ear related problems, nasal congestion, runny nose, cold, fever, itches, dullness, laziness, or Sinusitis or rhino sinusitis or any infection and allergy, or autoimmune problems or any other mental and physical disorders. Since, a band of Holy Ash helps every cell on the forehead work as a PV cell to produce enough Jeeva Sakthi/BEM energy directly from sunlight.
Initially, a band Thiruneer produces cooling effect due to evaporation of water particles from our forehead, and hence, it feels refreshing cool soon after we apply Thiruneer on our forehead. But, as time goes on, it will work like a PV cell to generate our JeevaSakthi/BEM energy by building temperature difference on our forehead.
Last year (2013), all the staff of our institution received an email from one of our colleagues to get some remedial tips for her wild cold, cough and runny nose problem. In her mail, she mentioned as if she was indeed tired of undergoing different medications, and finally gave up hope of getting right remedy.
For this, what I did was very simple. I only suggested her to continue her medication along with a band of Thiruneer/Holy Ash on her forehead after every bath with all hopes, and also, to go for morning and evening walk to get enough sunlight, if possible. I also gave her a small pack of Thiruneer as she did not know about it.
Guess what? She got a good cure after a week, and now, she asks me more packs of Thiruneer for others. Who knows, one day, one of the world leading medical institutions may have a patent for Thiruneer, if we continue to sleep!
Nevertheless, Thiruneer/Holy Ash is optional as you ascend to a higher level spiritual platform. Of course, we don’t require this holy ash as we finally become a deathless Jyothi. Since, a Jyothi requires neither codes nor aids as itself is an energy, which can exist by itself forever.
So, a band of Holy Ash on our forehead is very good for us as long as we are in a normal Jeeva Nilai, not as a religious icon, but as an Energy/Jeevasakthi Provider.
And, it is pointless to mention here that we need no band of Thiruneer as we attain our Anma Nilai/Soul Stage/Anaha Nilai, just like our Vallalarperuman.
