The Tamil Ndu Govt.will host the Thiru Arutprakasa Vallalar International Conference 2026 in Chennai in January to honor the legacy of Vallalar. Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister P.K.Sekarbabu announced this after a review meeting held at the Commissioner's Office on Saturday. The discussions covered several key plans, including forming joint committees with Sanmarga organisations, arrangmeents for international delegates, setting up exhibitions on Vallalar's teachings, a herbal exhibition. Siddha medical camp, literary competitions for school and college students, seminars, lectures, cultural events, and day long annadhanam.
At the event, Minister Sekarbabu said the CM earlier declared oct 5, Vallalar's birthday, as "Thaniperumkarunai Day" and sanctioned Rs.99.90 Crore to establish the Vallalar international Centre at Vadalur. He urged officials and organisations to work to ensure the sucess of the 2026 Confeerence.
